I'm delighted to announce the launch of my new book - Anything Pregnancy.

After more than 30 years as an obstetrician and gynaecologist, and over 4,000 deliveries, I've heard the same questions come up again and again - in the consulting room, at the end of appointments, and sometimes not at all, because there simply wasn't time, or it felt too awkward to ask. This book is my attempt to answer them properly, without the time pressure of a clinic slot.

Anything Pregnancy: The Expert Maternity Guide tackles 50 essential questions every parent-to-be needs answered. Whether you're concerned about sex and stretch marks, piles and pain relief, or simply have questions you've always been too shy to raise, I've tried to cover it all with clarity and compassion.

From the first signs of pregnancy through to labour and giving birth, I explain how labour begins, what to expect at every stage, and what could affect your chances of needing a Caesarean. Complex medical topics are made accessible and easy to understand - because every expectant parent deserves to feel informed and confident.

If you are currently under my care, or have been in the past, this book was written very much with you in mind. Think of it as a resource to sit alongside your care - something to reach for at 11pm when a worry surfaces, or to share with a partner who wants to understand what you're going through.

It won't replace our conversations, but I hope it gives you confidence between appointments.
